Hello, it's me, Kaitlin

I took my very first job as a buyer for a corporate dollar store chain. I quit directly after accidentally sending five trucks full of off-brand beef jerky to one store in Schenectady, New York.

After that, I worked at a small art museum and styled wardrobe for a straight to Netflix movie. I don't know if the movie was well received or not, but it was at the very least received.

While working at the museum, I met a retired art director who drew the Klondike polar bear. He saw me drawing at the front desk and asked me if I ever thought about going into advertising. I never really thought about it.

And then I thought about it a lot.

After researching art direction, I discovered copywriting and fell madly in love with it. It has allowed me to be continuously creative and use (if not overuse) my favorite device in the literary world: a good one-liner.
